Hey there! I'm Anna Pardoe, editor-in-chief of the WHS Yearbook. My love of journalism honestly started when I watched Gilmore Girls as a preteen. Not joking. Rory Gilmore was so put together, and handled the Yale Gazette with ease. Once I entered high school I realized journalism isn't as easy as Rory Gilmore made it look, but I fell in love. Throughout my freshman year, Mrs. Dyer introduced me to new concepts of journalism and I got hooked. My approach to new things is to learn all the parts to it. I learned that journalism had many parts and I knew yearbook would be where I would excel in. I was a staff member my sophomore year (barely, I turned my application in late), and worked my way up to junior editor for my junior year. I learned a lot my junior year about working with people, design, and most importantly how to lead. Now I'm here, my senior year as editor in chief of the 70th edition of "The Wildcat" and I couldn't be more excited. This year my goals are to finish by April (minus graduation and prom), use social media and marketing tools to capture buyers, and have a super fun year with the most talented staff and advisor. We have put together a staff that have remarkable strengths in marketing, photography, and editing, and I would love for you to meet them.
